It's a well known fact that I loathe CAPTCHA, but at this point it's better than the site being entirely engulfed in spam. We're trying to work a better solution out, but in the interim, this is the best solution. Thanks for understanding.

POKéMON QUEST: PART FIVE GENERATION 6 07/28/10(Wed)01:05 No.653704
>Older threads here: http://www.newrem.com/adventures

On the last episode of POKéMON QUEST Datass fought her rival in another POKéMON BATTLE. Datass's Snowbirga proved too powerful for Tom's Hypno and Datass was victorious! She won a Bulbasaur and Hypno for her efforts, and also scored a neat Tophat.

Datass ventured into the dark depths of the PRISMATIC FOREST and met up with an old friend, COOL TRAINER F Clarissa! Clarissa was in a bit of a ... ...wait for it... ... here it comes... .*BIND* and Datass rushed to untie her. Unfortunately for Datass, Clarissa's captor was waiting and tied Datass up as well!

We join her now... WHAT EXCITING NEW TALE WILL UNFOLD?

You're playing a game with items so recover is functionally useless. You go with this guy's set.

It also doesn't make sense to have any move that doubles up on a stat since you can only raise a stat six times anyway.

Anyway, you level Snowbirga up to 18 and he evolves into Prusfau. The most useful abilities have been selected. Drill Peck, Extreme Cold, Mind Reader, Chatter.

I dont really think we need recover.
I mean we can lead with Cosmic Power and up def and sp. def 7 stages or lead with sand attack and lower accuracy 7 stages. either way we're gonna survive to set up and Pass

>what if we get an attack sometime?
It should be obvious at this point that Darumananana is never getting a damaging attack. It's his gimmick. It can attack multiple times, but not with anything that does actual damage, just buffs/debuffs.
>> GENERATION 6 07/28/10(Wed)03:11 No.656942
Cosmic power raises Defense and Special Defense by one stage. Used 7 times in a row, the 6th time gets a "Did nothing" because you can only raise something 6 stages.

Dragon Dance raises Attack and Speed by one stage.

You can buy items in the store and there aren't going to be any link-cable battles or no-items battles.

Accuracy is the most important thing to lower in an opponent.

You can baton pass full Attack, Defense, Special Defense, and Speed in 2 turns. 2.5 turns if you count that you're absolutely going first on the 3rd turn because 6 speed boosts.

Now I'm willing to UNDO AND PICK A DIFFERENT SET but I think this is what you want.

The Duramananananana is set, and is statistically sound. It will easily cut out future grinding.

Kelschii did not yet evolve, at level 25.

The moves he had were Reef, Cush, and Blunt.

Over the course of leveling to level 25 he learned bounce, ember, sleep powder, and joint.

Which ones do you want?
>> Anonymous 07/28/10(Wed)03:17 No.657066
joint
blunt
reef
sleep powder

captcha was godley one :D

Sleep Powder would be handy.

What do Reef, Cush, Blunt, and Joint do?
Ember could be interesting on a grass type

Blunt is a physical grass attack like Vine Whip.

Cush is targetted rest. You can use it for a 100% sleep on an opponent or ally. It heals them for half their max health and makes them sleep. Allies wake up on the next turn, opponents stay asleep.

Reef is a physical water attack.

Joint allows you to switch out for your opponent's current pokemon for 3 turns. As in, you commandeer him from your opponent. It does not work if it's your opponent's last pokemon, or if it's a wild pokemon. If you kill your opponent's second-to-last with it, he becomes unjointed.

~~~
The other Pokemon you leveled was Entendre. He learned only enough moves to max out his 4 which were Idea, Astonish, Head Butt, and Flicker.
>> Anonymous 07/28/10(Wed)03:27 No.657253
Blunt
Cush
Reef
Ember
We already have a sleep move, this will give us a nice elemental spread.
>> Anonymous 07/28/10(Wed)03:29 No.657287
Replace Ember with Joint, possibly more tactical
>We already have a sleep move
A 100% accurate sleep move, despite the health restoration. I agree with this list.
But I'm kinda thinking that Joint might be useful. Any way to fit that in there?
>> Anonymous 07/28/10(Wed)03:29 No.657304
Joint seems kinda tricky so: Reef, Blunt, Ember, and Sleep Powder is my vote
>> Anonymous 07/28/10(Wed)03:30 No.657327
Cush > Sleep powder I'd say
Actually, screw that. I misread Joint the first time I read it.
uhhhhh... Swap out Reef or Ember for Joint then, I guess
All this move selecting is quite an ordeal.
>> GENERATION 6 07/28/10(Wed)03:35 No.657417
Oh, btw. All four of the original Kelschii moves are one-of-a-kind to Kelschii only.
Only way you'll get those moves again is with a Smeargle and a trainer controlled Kelschii.
>> GENERATION 6 07/28/10(Wed)03:36 No.657429
Er. Sorry. Misread my notes. Not Cush... Other pokemon have Cush.
